Creating an Adult Education Framework

Adult School Collaboration

  • Adult Schools offer English preparation, GED and high school diploma programs
  • ECC efforts include:
  • Academic Counselors at all Adult School sites
  • Forklift classes at Centinela
  • Noncredit ESL day and night class at Inglewood Adult School
  • Machine Tool, Construction and Emergency Medical classes offered in partnership with SBAS
  • ESL for Child Development bridge program with Torrance Adult School
  • ECC faculty curriculum alignment sessions with Adult School teachers and field trips to ECC
  • Future efforts include expanding bridge programs in machining, construction, emergency

medical, child development and business
