  5. Our Role in the Current Financial Markets ✓ The tough period we are currently experiencing across all shipping sectors with banks being unwilling to provide financing due to Basel III & IV requirements, means that the gap between required finance and available funds has widened considerably. ✓ Traditional shipping lenders are still struggling to restructure their existing loan portfolios by disposing NPLs and looking to improve their balance sheets and their profitability. ✓ However, there is a considerable amount of funds available in the global markets, which can only be utilized through more advanced and innovative structures and solutions. ✓ Changes in the regulatory environment in the wake of the subprime crisis have led to a structural shift, reducing the role of traditional lenders while at the same time allowing funds and other non-bank institutions to bridge this gap. ➢ Seven Capital identifies and exploits all opportunities created by the rapid evolution of non-bank lending for the benefit of its clients. 5 Seven Capital Maritime Services Ltd
