Objective #5: Plans to employ approaches proven to accelerate a student’s progress toward his or her academic or career goals, such as contextualized basic skills and career technical education, and other joint programming strategies between adult education and career technical education. 1. Divide into work groups 2. Identify a leader 3. Leader will obtain traits of your adult learner from Case Study Discussions KH Objective 5: Accelerated Learning  Develop the stick figure of your adult learner.  Give the adult learner a name. 4. Brainstorm how he/she will achieve his/her academic/workforce goals  How he/she would currently navigate the system  What path might be ideal to achieve his/her goals in an accelerated fashion 5. KH will then cluster the small groups into 3 larger groups to share best ideas for acceleration  Identify the 3 best strategies 6. Report out to the large group 8
