ASTER
ASTER mission and activities are based on the Regional
Research and Innovation Law nr. 7/2002 (which represents the first regional law for innovation set up in Italy) and its implementing Program for Industrial Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer. In twenty years of activity ASTER has developed a number of initiatives in order to develop new
- pportunities of collaboration among innovation actors
within the region and to promote networking of the regional innovation system at national, European and international level.

ASTER & eParticipation
- 2004-2007 Emilia-Romagna Regional Government (RER) was
engaged in an e-participation project called partecipa.net with 11 partners from Municipalities and Provinces
- ASTER was the coordinator of the project planning phase (funded
by an Italian Ministry) and during the 3 years gave a technical support to the implementation of the e-democracy toolkit developed in partecipa.net
- 2008 RER has launched the iopartecipo.net initiative (currently
running) based on a on-line platform
- Until 2010 ASTER supported the enhancement of the platform
