This course is intended to engage student learning in media with hands-on projects and “real world” activities. This course is based upon the development of a specific set of skills that would support digital media and

• citizenship. The intent to educate students on the ever-changing digital

world, as well as, provide hands-on experiences in a curriculum that covers a wide range of current and relevant media initiatives. By instruction and practice, students will gain the ability to access, evaluate, select and utilize the most useful information from a vast collection of digital sources and

• formats. Students will be empowered to pursue and practice media skills

that will help them develop their creative voice and promote change.
