Rule 1 - Court and Equipment

Logos Playing court requirements:

complete finish in a manner that is similar throughout.
includes the three-foot area outside each sideline and

Rule 2 - Officials and Their Duties

One official must remain on the floor when team members

All officials return to the floor with 3 minutes remaining in

pregame/intermission regardless of whether team members are present.

To enhance crew unity, it is recommended that all officials

remain on the floor.

There can be incidental contact with the elbow above or

below the shoulders.

Traveling

Not all spin moves are travels.

Legal Guarding

Rule- Know the rule on establishing and maintaining a guarding position:

Can take a charge when feet are moving
Cannot move toward the defender and make contact
Contact does not have to be in middle of chest
Can be a charge when offensive player does not run

through defender

Secondary Defender – Restricted-Area Plays

Rule-

Secondary defender establishing initial guarding position

in RA and staying there

Only applies to taking a charge on player with the ball or

who has made a pass or released a shot Coverage-

Lead- when the drive comes from the strong side
Center- drive comes from the weak side
Center and Trail- typically have secondary coverage
