1. Support for initial trillion dollar relief package. 2. Request for $60 billion economic relief for charities and to include the nonprofit sector in benefits available for corporations and small businesses. 3. UWW is working on a third phase of COVID-19 legislation, including: • $110 million in funding for 211 • $100 million in stimulus funding for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, along with an increase in the annual funding. • An extension of tax filing deadline (not tax payment deadline), so that VITA sites can provide needed tax prep into the summer • Inclusion of Earned Income Tax Assistance Credit and Child Tax Credit expansion provisions 4.
