  • 1. A team dedicated

to your success

For 15 years, Pascal Fernand has kept on helping French wine & spirit producers to export their products to Canada and the USA. This wine lover created the APVSA in 1999. The APVSA is proud to have introduced with success more than 300 producers in the North American market in a long-lasting way. When he was 16, Pascal Fernand left France to live the American

  • dream. In 1989, he moved to the province of Quebec and decided

to settle there. Pascal got to learn things about the North American culture such as their taste and needs. He knows perfectly this market and can anticipate its changes. Pascal Fernand travels to Europe several times a year to taste and select wines and spirits he will present to North American buyers and importers. The APVSA works as a team. We welcome young professionals and talented interns. We select our team members based on their different backgrounds. Everyone brings in his knowledge, experiences and new ideas to the APVSA. Thanks to an efficient team, the APVSA has the ability to match the market trends and is well versed in new means of communication.

«First of all, I am a lover of good wines and people, which is why 15 years ago I created the APVSA. Since then, more than 300 winemakers have joined

non-profit

that has been instrumental in their expansion into North America. APVSA’s partners are extremely satisfied; thanks to the association, billions of bottles have been sold through North America. I have the chance to work with a young team which pushes me, as well as the association, with their dynamic and new ideas. Every time I am on the road I meet hundreds of winemakers, agents, importers and

  • distributors. You cannot imagine

how much I love all this energy and passion for wine. To me, wine is the best therapy for keeping health, happiness and pleasure.» Pascal FERNAND

  • 2. Personalized services and

human values

For 15 years, the APVSA has been helping winegrowers selling their wines into the Canadian and American markets. We accompany them step-by- step in their export project and support them on a daily basis during the four years of their membership. As a non-profit organization we do not take any commissions on sales. The membership of our winemakers is our

  • nly funding.

Thanks to its knowledge of the North American market, the APVSA acts as a true ambassador and provides its members with different services. We connect you with our network of agents, importers and distributors thanks to professional tastings that we organize all around the USA and Canada. Besides we offer the organization of private meetings, participation to international fairs & events, as well as administrative, legal and logistical support. The APVSA is known as a trustworthy representative between wine and spirit makers and the American importers. Our team informs the members of every interesting opportunity in order to give them the possibility to catch them. Wine buyers trust the APVSA because Pascal Fernand selects every member during his tasting trips to

  • Europe. Those trips help him discover great wines that will be successful in North America. Pascal

knows the buyers’ tastes. In relation with them on a daily basis, he can anticipates the importers’ expectations and recognizes products with strong potential. Thanks to its expertise, the APVSA is able to meet buyers’ demand and expectations by providing them with a qualitative and diverse wine- makers portfolio. It is with a great pleasure that the APVSA present the producer’s wines that have been selected to its wine buyers network throughout the year. Each day, the APVSA team support and accompany its 300 active members in their adventure in North America. Attentive and dedicated, the association is glad to advise them and answer to any of their questions. Within the association, winegrowers and their sales persons are not customers but partners. The sustainability of the association depends on their success.

  • 3. Professional winetasting trough

Canada and USA

The APVSA settle wine tastings trough United States and Canada several times in a year, recovering almost all Canadian provinces and American states. These wine tastings are the opportunity for the winegrowers, members of the association, to introduce their products and exchange directly with them in order to build strong and long relationship, which will allow them to develop the export. Already present on the main and most expanding markets, each year the association tries hard to penetrate into new little requested territories with a not insignificant potential. In total, a member of the APVSA has the possibility to be present for about 50 wine tastings per year. According to their needs, their objectives, their finances and their availability, he can choose the tours, which he would like participate and the cities where he would like to present his wines. The APVSA team is used to work with small and medium producers and has understood how to adapt itself to their constraints. Aware that the producers do not always have the possibility to move that’s why the APVSA suggest a member service

  • f

representation which allow them to introduce their wines to the buyers without moving from their vineyards. These wine tastings are the main activity of the A.P.V.S.A but especially the more efficient activity for our members. The association suggest her services before, during and after its events in order to accompany at best the participation of its members. Upstream, the association invites its wine buyers network to discover its member’s products. These people are reached one after one by the association team. But the association also provides the coordinates to its members in order to allow them to invite these wine buyers personally. After the wine tastings, each participant receives a detailed report, which allows him to pursue his prospecting with all information needed about the wine buyers. The APVSA follows step by step the advance of negotiations between winegrowers and wine buyers; she really has a role of advice for its members. Thanks to these 15 years experience on the field, Pascal Fernand knows very well the wine buyers, he helps the members to identify the serious

  • ne

and to make the right choice.

  • 6. They trusted us and testify

« APVSA helped me in finding a high quality importer in the USA, by the end of my first year in joining. Pascal Fernand and his team are really pleasant and agreeable and equally very professional. The APVSA is a great start for those winemakers who want to enter or extend their presence in the North America

  • market. » Julien Breuzon - Champagne Vollereaux

« The APVSA professionalism helped me in finding an importer. The US market is huge and complicated, and requires a big investment for the three first years. So, it is reassuring to reap the fruits of the canvassing at the end of the first year. Moreover, friendliness and happiness are always present. That’s why I thank Pascal and all his team! » Valérie Gossellin - Les Vignerons réunis de Monségur « APVSA is a really good alternative to reach the North American market. I thank Pascal Fernand and his team for their availability, their support and organization; behavior so friendly and professional. » Anne Govignon- Château Toumilon «For us, to be a member of the APVSA is not an end in itself but an efficient way to understand the American market and to be in touch with regional and national distributors. We have participated, in person, in the wine tastings in the big American cities, where there is a high demand for champagne, and we let the APVSA take care of the promotion of our champagnes in the less demanding regions. The organization of the winetasting in the American cities gave us more time in our search of clients. That’s how, thanks to the APVSA, we found four distributors in Canada and two in USA. » François Gigandet -Champagne H. Blin « I found a young team, friendly and dynamic who wanted progress and to trust in wines and wine makers. I have already sold my wine in Canada, and it is just the beginning. I can rely on the APVSA to help me in my expansion, which is sometimes difficult to manage from France.» Domaine Pierre-Yves Perrachon SCEV - Château Bonnet « We have been an APVSA member for almost one year. This privilege helps us to be present in Canada and North America and to gain more visibility. I found, thanks to the APVSA, a client in less than 6 months. Thanks to a wonderful team, APVSA supports us in canvassing and in finding reliable importers. » Sophie Dulon – VignoblesDulon «I have known the APVSA for five years. During this time, we have grown up together, and improved our knowledge about the American market. Thanks for all you do for us; we will not stop our conquest of America with you! »Mercedes Castro - Export Area Manager

«I want to thank Pascal Fernand and his team for the professional services they offer, before, during, and after every event. The APVSA does a great job, fast, and efficient. You are so valuable, I will recommend you without any doubt!» Eva Lopez – Bodegas VinaVilano «Really fast, we met Pascal when he was in France and it was a two way street. After talking about our priorities of development, and targeting the places we wanted to be, we participated in some wine-tastings. After the first one, in Montreal, we were in touch with an agent who appreciated our wine, and today, our wine is sold by the SAQ. Thanks again to Pascal and his team for this wonderful job.» Jacques Barrier – Domaine De La Renne «We want to underline the accessibility and the knowledge of the APVSA team, and especially Pascal Fernand who is really close to the winemakers that he represents. Unfortunately, we did not join him in Canada and in USA, but we trust him to represent our champagnes. He knew exactly how select the best partners, how to inform us about the process that he knows so well. Today, thanks to the APVSA, we have a new partner in Quebec, and we are really optimistic about the future! Thank you! » Benoît Richet - Champagne De Sousa «APVSA is an interesting way to know the North American market, a beautiful way to get in touch with

  • importers. Pascal is a genius in negotiation and partnership. Only he can select such professional people. He

knows how to follow and finish canvassing work. Thanks to him and to his dynamic team.» Christian Dyckerhoff – Domaine Dyckerhoff «You are such a valuable association. Having joined Pascal Fernand in the professional wine tour in September 2011, I saw the method he uses to represent our wines. I did not think that I would be able to export my wine after the first wine tasting, being a monopoly in a selective and difficult market. I have been with the APVSA for one year, but it is not enough, I still have a lot of things to learn about the North American market.» Mallory Talmard- Cave Talmard «Members from this year, we are proud to be a part of it. Advice and service are fast and really efficient. Their motivation helped us, and we have already exported our first shipment. We have been satisfied since the beginning and we hope that this partnership will continue. Congratulations and do not stop! » Evelyne, Loicet Noel Bulliat -DomaineLoic et Noel Bulliat « I have just discovered the APVSA. At first, there was some doubt about the investment. Léoube met the entire team in Montreal in July 2012: a young and dynamic team managed by Pascal Fernand. The results so far have been impressive... »JéromePernot – Château Léoube
