Youth Empowerment Services (YES, INC.) is a grantee of the Teacher and School Leader grant, Equity Pipeline, since October 2016 where we have successfully implemented recruitment processes and retention programs for our district partners through focusing on teacher preparation and development before they enter the classroom. BACKGROUND

  5. Services Impact Goals The Services provided are intended to maximize teacher effectiveness by focusing on these four (4) areas for Districts and Equity Pipeline Participants. Research based practices Customized Support Increased Teacher Effectiveness Processes for planned activities Evidence of Learning

  8. Principal Coaching- Audience- District level 01. We are looking to contract with vendors who will be able to provide Support, customize and develop training for principal coaching; Turnaround Low-Performing Campuses/ Leadership Development/ Time Management/ Strategic Planning/Goal Setting/ Policy Development / Relationship Building and Management/ Assess Human Capital/ Executive Leadership/District Improvement Processes

  9. Team Building – Audience -District level, Equity Pipeline Orlando 02. We are looking to contract with vendors who can provide interactive, high-quality team building trainings for our districts that will impact and improve the climate, morale, and culture on district campuses; support, customize and develop training for team building; Personality Training, Building Climate and Culture, How to increase morale, goal setting, How to collaborate, How to clarify specific roles and the value of those roles for teachers/educators.

  10. How to Effectively Engage All Students- Audience- Equity Pipeline Orlando or District Level 03. We are looking to contract with vendors who can provide interactive, high-quality student engagement training which provides participants with student engagement strategies that increase teacher effectiveness; support, customize and develop training in student engagement; How to increase student buy-in, differentiation, How to form a classroom culture, student centered teaching, How to give students brainstorming freedom, project based learning, non-traditional learning strategies.

  11. Technology Training- Audience-Equity Pipeline Orlando 04. We are looking to contract with vendors who can provide interactive, high-quality technology training on various platforms that ensures participants are more adept at technology use opportunities in the classroom and are able to access technological resources to increase teacher effectiveness; support, customize and develop training for technology use; Power point, Excel, Google Classroom, Zoom, how to use different communication platforms, blogs, newsletters, etc.

  12. Effective Leadership Training- Audience- District level & Equity Pipeline Orlando 05. We are looking to contract with vendors who customize and provide high quality leadership training for each district leadership team with principles and practical strategies to assist leaders in becoming more effective; We are looking to contract with vendors who customize and provide high quality leadership training for each district leadership team with principles and practical strategies to assist leaders in becoming more effective.

  13. Mission, Vision, and Core Values Audience-District Level 06. We are looking to contract with vendors who can customize trainings for each individual district/campus to provide high quality training related to the implementation and development of the districts mission, vision, and core values; support, customize and develop training for mission vision and core values; how to develop, visit, or revise your Mission, Vision, & Core Value; How to lead and live your Mission, Vision, and Core Values; School Climate; Stakeholder Buy-in.

  14. Mentor Training- Audience-District Level 07. We are looking to contract with vendors who can customize and individualized provide high- quality training for mentoring at district and campuses, to ensure new teachers (0-3yrs.) to the district are supported and become a more effective educator; support, customize and develop training for mentoring; Mentor Induction; Job Description; Mentor Meeting topics, Support for new teachers; deliverables; relationship building with mentees.

  15. Cultural Responsiveness- - Audience-Eq uity Pipeline and District level 08. We are looking to contract with vendors who can customize and develop training for cultural responsiveness that will help educators work well with a diverse group of students to ensure all students have access to an effective educator; support, customize and develop training for cultural responsiveness; Working with a diverse group of students; understanding poverty and different cultures; Importance of learning each students’ rhythm of life; linguistics.

  16. Special Education- Audience-District and Equity Pipeline 09. We are looking to contract with vendors who can customize and facilitate training, so the teachers are effective in implantation of special education services for students in their classroom; support customize and develop special education sessions to include IDEA, ADA, and FERPA rules and guidelines, discipline, and Individual Education Plans (IEP) students’ needs and attendance requirements. To ensure fidelity to Special Education guidelines.

  17. Behavior Management- Audience-District and Equity Pipeline Orlando 10. We are looking to contract with vendors who can customize and develop positive behavior management sessions that give teachers strategies that increase their effectiveness in meeting all student’s needs; support, customize, and develop positive behavior management sessions that provide inclusive needs of students; classroom discipline plans; student contracts; parental support; working with special education department; documentation.

  18. Distance Learning and Teaching- Audience-District Level and Equity Pipeline 11. We are looking to contract with vendors who can customize, develop, and provide high-quality Distance learning and Teaching services to assist educators become more effective; support and develop training for research-based best practices of distance learning and teaching; strategies to engage distant learners; planning; time management; documentation; student engagement and follow up practices; professional boundaries for distance learning; parent involvement and presence in distance learning; grading; absence of standardized testing; how to check for understanding virtually.

  19. Child Trauma Audience-Equity Pipeline 12. We are looking to contract with vendors who will be able to provide high-quality Child trauma training services to have educators to become more effective in the area of Child Trauma. Please include how you will provide support and develop trainings for Emotional Health of Teachers/ Connecting with Dysfunctional Family Systems/ Identifying Cultural Sensitivity; support systems; overviewing ACE’s (adverse childhood experiences); support and develop training for Emotional Health of Teachers/ Connecting with Dysfunctional Family Systems/ Identifying Cultural Sensitivity; support systems; city services and resources; ACE’s(adverse childhood experiences); documentation, working with families in trauma; supporting students and families; knowing your triggers and when to seek help.
