Members should opt into the USWP Leagues (2018 Oregon Spring League) Members must have processed a photo ID with USAWP JOQ* team will need a Gold membership and Age verification. *To be eligible players must be registered with WVWP or an affiliated OEP team All fees include a T-shirt and pool costs

We have no control over when we get them or how many times they may change. You must check the web page the day of the tournament for the most up to date schedule. ALL players should be at tournaments 45 minutes before first scheduled game . ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A PHOTO ID WITH THEM AT ALL GAMES!

Oregon Open Water Tournament (Cont.)  Location: Foster Lake  WVWP Teams playing U18/U16 boys and girls all tournament  WVWP Teams playing U14/12 will have some game times  Accommodations: Teams will be camping at Lewis Creek Park  Designated players and parents Sunday – Wednesday  All other players and parents Monday – Thursday

Oregon Open Water Tournament (Cont.)  Cost $200.00 per player this covers team hard cost T-Shirt, Showers, Food (Breakfasts and Dinner). $175.00 of this will be waived if 2018 volunteer hours were achieved.  U 14 coming up for the day only. Cost $100.00 per player this covers T-Shirt and game fees. $80.00 of this will be waived if 2017 volunteer hours were achieved .

  18. Oregon Open Water Tournament (Cont.)  Parents at Open Water: All club parents are expected to work the open water at some point. This is our club’s main source of income for the year and the reason we are able to keep our dues as low as we do.  Working for your high school team does not count toward your club hours.  Parent camping is at Sunnyside Camp Ground. There is a link to book your camp site on the Open Water page.

  19. Oregon Open Water Tournament (Cont.)  Sponsorships opportunities  WVWP families may send out sponsorship packets (one each sponsor letter and sponsor recognition letter)  These can be found on the website – search for ‘Sponsor’. The title is ‘Open Water sponsorship opportunities’.  A list of each letter sent should be emailed to wvwpcoach@outlook.com

(not to be confused with ODP)  A cooperative agreement between Blue Crush, Bend, Lake Oswego, David Douglas and Willamette Valley Water Polo clubs  An opportunity members of our club wishing to chase the goal of being a part of Junior Olympic team. Train with and qualify for the Junior Olympics with other like minded athletes  OEP gives players of all age groups the opportunity to be part of competitive Junior Olympic teams, while remaining active members of their home club  You must try-out and be selected to this team. Rules of WVWP  Traveling with WVWP  Your coach must know where you are at all times  We hang out as a team (this is so important)  Always have a buddy  Overnight trips  All players are the responsibility of the coaches on the trip.  No boys in girls rooms or tents and no girls in boys rooms or tents. Breaking these rules will get you sent home at your expense!

  24. Rules of WVWP (cont.)  Have Fun  Come to practice ready to  Listen  Try new things  Work hard  Work as a team  Ask questions Most important is to come to practice, those who attend get the most playing time in tournaments. All players will play if they participate in practices.

  25. Concussion Rules  All WVWP coaches have taken classes to recognize concussions.  All WVWP players and parents must read and sign our concussion information sheet.  Some of the signs of a concussion:  Dazed, stunned, confused, forgetful, clumsily, slow to respond to questions, moody, loss of memory, headache, nausea, dizziness, vision problems and more.  We all have a responsibility to be on the lookout!

About our Corporate Sponsor  Our Club is Sponsored by TruWest.  As part of the sponsorship WVWP provides a T-shirt to the players  Players are required to buy the TruWest Team Suit  Players are required to bring/wear these team items at all events  Team Suit  T-Shirt Not having these will prevent you from playing in the event. An event is any tournament or scheduled game.
