1. TUTORING, STUDY SKILLS TRAINING, INSTRUCTION, AND DROPOUT PREVENTION activities that lead to completion of a high school diploma or recognized equivalent (including a recognized certificate of attendance or similar document for individuals with disabilities) or for a recognized post-secondary credential; 2. ALTERNATIVE SECONDARY SCHOOL AND DROPOUT RECOVERY SERVICES assist youth who have struggled in traditional secondary education or who have dropped out of school; 3. PAID AND UNPAID WORK EXPERIENCE is a structured learning experience in a workplace and provides
education as a component of the work experience and may include the following types of work experiences:
school year;
proficiency in an occupational field that leads to a recognized post-secondary credential that align with in- demand industry sectors or occupations in the local area if the local Board determines that the programs meet the quality criteria described in WIOA Section 123. 5. EDUCATION OFFERED CONCURRENTLY WITH WORKFORCE PREPARATION is an integrated education and training model combining workforce preparation, basic academic skills, and occupational skills for a specific occupation or occupational cluster;
encouraging responsibility, confidence, employability, self-determination, and other positive social behaviors; RFP, pg. 10-11
7. SUPPORTIVE SERVICES enable an individual to participant in WIOA activities and are defined in WIOA Sec 3 (59) and include items such as child/dependent care assistance, transportation assistance, etc.; 8. ADULT MENTORING is a formal relationship between a youth and an adult mentor with structured activities where the mentor offers guidance, support, and encouragement for a duration of at least 12 months that may occur both during and after program participation; 9. FOLLOW UP SERVICES are provided following program exit and help to ensure youth succeed in employment
drug/alcohol and mental health counseling, as well as referrals to counseling, as appropriate to the needs
