What are we doing?
Individuals:
- Be fully aware of what domestic abuse is and who it affects
- Where appropriate provide support that is: sensitive,
patient, listens not judges, encourages access to support
Organisations:
- Adopt a domestic abuse policy with a commitment to zero
tolerance
- Train frontline workers to understand, assess & respond
appropriately to disclosed or suspected domestic abuse
- Be aware of and communicate referral pathways to support
services

What YOU can do
- 1. Increase awareness and understanding of what
domestic abuse is and its impact.
- 2. All frontline health and social care workers should be
aware of domestic abuse as part of their daily work
- 3. Children affected by domestic abuse should be
provided with appropriate support at an early stage
- 4. Borough wide organisational commitment to the
delivery of the Domestic Abuse Strategy and the work
- f the Domestic Abuse Alliance.
