Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (CITE)

Established in 1990 as a non-stock, non-profit

educational organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and is a PCNC registered donee institution.

A project of Associazione Centro ELIS

<www.elis.org>, University of Asia and Pacific Foundation <www.uap.edu.ph> and the Meralco Foundation Inc. <www.mfi.org.ph>

The school is managed by a 15-member BOT and by

5-member management staff. Currently it has 64 personnel; 29 are teaching staff and 35 are full-time support staff.

CITE is committed to provide to the deserving but economically disadvantaged youth from the Visayas and Mindanao with Training in Technical Skills, Entrepreneurship and Values Formation. We aim to develop in them a high sense of professionalism deep Christian and social-oriented values.

Youth Programs

The Industrial Technician Program (ITP) is a 3-year post-secondary course that produces technicians with the following technology specialization:

Industrial Electronics Electrical Electromechanical Mechanical Biomedical Information Technology

The Industrial Skills Training Program is a 6-9months course that produces skilled workers for the mfg industry sector such as

Industry Assemblers Computer -aided Designing

and Drafting (CADD) Operator's Course

Skills Upgrading courses are for

individuals who wish to upgrade their skills.

Courses vary from 30-90 hrs

and can be customized to suit the company’s particular training needs.

Selection Process

For ITP: You must be male Filipino HS graduate, age not

more than 22 years old upon enrollment. Grades in Math, Physics, and English should be at least 80% during the last grading period. Family income should not exceed Php 120,000.00. ISTP accepts female applicants.

Written exam, submit of all requirements, undergo one-

week Summer Technician Orientation Program (STOP), Student and Parents interview and home visit for additional assessment and validation

For the 240 available ITP slots (SY 2006-2007), a total

  • f 1,067 applied.
