• Iran Renewable Energy Association (IrREA) is the only

independent non-governmental organization in Iran focusing on all kinds of renewable energy.

• The main activities of IrREA are secure the best legislative and

regulatory framework for expanding renewable energy production in IRAN and increasing awareness, legitimation, promoting and institutionalizing the development of clean energy.

Solar Resource Assessment

 Iran’s unique geographical position means 90% of the country has enough sun to generate solar power 300 days a year.  more than two-thirds of the Iran receive average 4.5 to 5.5 (Kwh/m2×day) radiation, which is considerable compared to the rest of the world  140 solar photovoltaic power plant with 1 GW capacity in an area of 2100 Km2 in Lut Desert of Iran can provide all electricity consumption of Iran (255,000,000 MWh).
