Description Location and Environment
l
TORREVIEJA, is a coastal city that is on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, south of the province of Alicante, within the región of La Vega Baja and belongs to the so-called “Costa Blanca”. It has a population of 84.959 inhabitants and has a municipal district that borders on the north with Guardamar del Segura, on the west wilth Rojales and Benijófar, on the southwest with Montesinos and San Miguel de Salinas and on the south with the beaches of Orihuela.

Between lagoons, in a great plain, is Torrevieja, a destination with great projection. The current municipality grew next to an old tower, which gave its name and with natural characteristics that have marked its history and its daily life. Thus, the term enjoys splendid beaches, with which it develops its tourists capacity in combination with its seafaring and salt
- industry. But today, in addition, the salt production, one of the main ones in Europe, has a
competitor in international recognition, the Havanas and its International Contest declared of International Tourist Interest, which is celebrated in homage of Torrevieja who traded with Cuba, colony from which they brought these melodies.

In Torrevieja, tourism and salt production are combined. The natural park of the Lagunas de la Mata and Torrevieja is a unique space in which ancient tradition of salt extraction and nesting of birds in Winter alternate, making it an attractive enclave. Description, Location and Environment

The weather in Torrevieja is very stable. It responds to the temperate continental, with a predominance of mild temperaturas both in Winter and summer. The coldest months are January and Februari, with temperatures ranging between 12 and 16 degrees and the hottest July and August with temperaturas ranging between 28 and 35°C. The autumn (October to December) is a season very temperate with temperaturas that oscillate between 21 and 27°C. Rains are scarce and intermittent. Torrevieja has a microclimate that differentiates it from
- ther populations in its surroundings. The proximity of two lagoons (salinas) makes the
climatological favorable, both in torrential rains, as in the strenght of the winds and in
- temperaturas. Sunny weather predominates most of the year.

Its good climatic conditions and its extensive coastline, with the promenade, its 20 kilometers
- f coastline with six large and clean beaches (La Mata, Cabo Cervera, Los Locos, El Cura,
Los Náufragos y Ferris) and a score of coves with abundant cliffs, the modern yacht club and large number of tourist services and facilities, together with the friendly and hospitable nature
- f its inhabitants, have made it one of the main tourist destinations in Spain.

All the rooms in the center are grouped in an exclusive area for this use and its acces is trough corridors of general circulation. These rooms meet the requirements specified in this section of the Order of terms of mínimum áreas in romos, percentage of the number of single rooms in front of the double rooms, space of toilets adapted inside, closing devices in the doors in the interior to the will of the resident and mechanism of external opening for emergency case, pavements, natural and artificial lighting, televisión sockets, etc.
