SLIDE 1
OUR CREATOR, GOD
ISAIAH 45
This is the passage that is most often given as the proof text for the crazy notion that there were two Isaiahs or, according to some silly folks, three Isaiahs—largely because of the “chapter divisions” which are not inspired!
- So, in believing that this was simply a chronological account written of events
some 150 years after Isaiah wrote in 686 BC, because that is when Cyrus actually comes on the scene, there must have been two or three Isaiahs.
- Real issue—well, that would be because they do not believe in inspiration—
God-breathed scriptures. As Peter recorded in 2 Peter 1: 21, “for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
- In other words, God wrote the Word—Isaiah simply wrote what God told him
to write.
