An Electronic Health Record-based Intervention to Promote Hepatitis C Virus Testing Among Adults Born Between 1945 and 1965: A Cluster-randomized Trial Setting: 10 primary care practices (community & hospital-based) Trial period: 1 year Reviewed: 25,620 eligible “baby-boomer” provider visits Compared: Hepatitis C testing rates for the CDC recommended “baby-boomer” cohort, in primary care practices that implement a testing prompt for Hepatitis C and practices that have no form of prompt to test eligible baby-boomers for Hepatitis C. Results: NO prompt: Testing Rates: 1.8%1 WITH prompt: Testing Rates: 20.2%1
