Nanotechnology

  • A nanometre (nm) is one thousand millionth of a meter. A single human hair is about

80,000 nm wide; a red blood cell is approximately 7,000 nm wide, a DNA molecule 2 to 2.5 nm, and a water molecule almost 0.3 nm. The term”nanotechnology” was created by Norio Taniguchi of Tokyo University in 1974 to describe the precision manufacture of materials with nanometre tolerances.

  • “Nanotechnology is enabling technology that will change the nature of almost every

human-made object in the next century” – National Science & Technology Council (2000)

  • Nanotechnology is changing how we manage our environment offering replacements to

aggressive cleaning chemicals, new solutions for infection control, seed enhancements, asset protection, public health and food hygiene. By manipulating molecules to create novel structures, devices and systems with outstanding properties, products are becoming lighter, stronger, healthier, smaller, more durable and safer.

Benefits:

  • Water-repellent,

Breathable Coating, scratch resistant up 56 N.

  • Anti-microbial and Dirt Resistant.
  • Environmental erosion is inhibited.
  • Fungal, bacterial and viral growth is

inhibited.

  • Green, Environmentally Friendly, Non Toxic.
  • Quick, Safe Application.
  • Long Lasting - 1 to 25 years.
  • Reduces the need for cleaning chemicals

and cleaning cycles.

Benefits

The technology creates a hydrophobic and simultaneously an

  • leo phobic layer where water or any oil based substance is

unable to penetrate and adhere to the protected surface. The Liquid Glass layer is 200% flexible making it suitable for both hard and soft surfaces. Surface retains its original properties preventing any alteration. Liquid Glass Nanotech layers are acid and alkaline resistant. Liquid Glass Nanotech layers can withstand extreme temperature conditions: -90°C to 750°C.

Advantages

  • Anti-microbial (kills existing

bacteria and prevents bacteria from settling on surfaces)

  • Water repellent, grease

repellent and stain-proof

  • Easy to clean as they inherit

self-cleaning abilities

  • Heat resistant from -40 to

750 degrees C

  • Anti-graffiti
  • Energy saving
  • Reduces cleaning cycles by 30-40%.
  • Easy to clean as they inherit self- cleaning

abilities.

  • Prevents corrosion of exposed surfaces.
  • Dust, sand, rust and anti- fogging.
  • UV stable
  • Long-term durability

Certification

ASTM C1624-05 Scratch Testing: Laboratory tested to ASTM C1624- 05 Quantitative Single Point Scratch Testing using a 0.2mm tip radius Rockwell diamond. Proven to withstand up to 56n. Saturation: Laboratory tested to ASTM International standards and able to withstand, water, oils, wine, grease for up to 24 hours with 0% penetration

Certification

  • Anti-microbial Testing
  • Leading microbiologists have tested the bacteria count on mobile devices and

have concluded that mobile phones are highly contaminated with various types of bacteria with high resistances to commonly used antibiotics. Crystalusion has been certified by the ASTM – E2180 standard which proves that bacteria levels are reduced by 99.9% when tested with Salmonella, Staph. aureus & E. coli on surfaces protected with this coating.

  • Crystalusion destabilises the wall of bacterium and so the bacterium can’t

subdivide or reproduce. The abrasion resistance and the antimicrobial properties

  • f Crystalusion are the key USPs and we have attained empirical evidence to

demonstrate this.

Conclusion

  • Nanotechnology is changing how we manage our environment offering

replacements to aggressive cleaning chemicals, new solutions for infection control, seed enhancements, asset protection, public health and food hygiene.

  • By manipulating molecules to create novel structures, devices and systems

with outstanding properties, products are becoming lighter, stronger, healthier, smaller, more durable and safer.
