IIS Upgrade Communications

Last month the EHR experts brought up this issue:

  • IIS upgrade their systems without enough warning to EHR partners
  • EHR vendors/implementers need 30-60 day notice of upcoming changes
  • Data flows are being interrupted or broken during upgrades

AIRA team is looking at this issue:

  • AIRA technical assistance team also needs a way to track IIS upgrades
  • Looking for a way to track this centrally for everyone to update and use

Solutions being looked at:

  • Email distribution list
  • Dynamic webpage in AART (accessible by both EHR and IIS)
  • AIRA taking a role in reaching out to IIS to ask when upgrades will happen
