What do we measure?
- The Verbal section measures a child’s ability to
remember and transform sequences of words, to understand them and to make inferences and judgments about them. The Verbal score qualifies a student for the GT Humanities course
- The Non-Verbal/Reasoning section measures
reasoning using pictures and geometric shapes. This section reduces the impact of language on the student’s
- score. The Non-Verbal score qualifies a student for GT
Accelerated Science course(s)
- The Quantitative section measures a child’s
understanding of basic quantitative concepts and
- relationships. ALL STUDENTS are eligible for the
PreAP Math course, regardless of the CogAT score.
