Grants for Ministry Initiatives… • We guide parishes through the process of applying for a grant, and then implementing it in the parish. • Heritage Grants for Young Adult Ministry • McDevitt Grants for Youth Ministry • We provide resources to new youth ministers. • On-Site New Youth Minister Orientation
St Strengthening Ministry Provide Diocesan-wide and regional events Youth Events (middle & high school) • We offer large-group events as opportunities for youth to encounter Christ. • Steubenville Summer Youth Conference • Middle School Summer Pilgrimage • World Youth Day • Middle School Rallies (Fall) • NCYC (November) (bi-annual) • Worship/Penance Services (Advent) • Confirmation Retreats (Spring) • March for Life Pilgrimage (January)
St Strengthening Ministry Provide Diocesan-wide and regional events Young Adult Events (20s & 30s) • We provide young adults with food, faith, and fellowship, and a series of guest speakers. • Theology on Tap (monthly) in 5 locations throughout the Diocese • Syracuse, Oswego, Utica, Binghamton, Cortland • March for Life Pilgrimage (January) • Small Group Studies (Alpha, Bible Studies, etc.) • World Youth Day • Heritage Grant funded initiatives across the diocese
St Stren engthen ening g Ministry Supporting parish youth and young adult ministry leaders. • Youth Minister Networking Meetings & Deeper Waters • opportunities each year for youth ministers to share a meal together and listen to a guest speaker address a relevant topic. • Youth Minister Training • annual youth minister training sessions in parishes (workshops designed with specific needs of each parish) • Onsite Consults • assist youth ministers in self-assessing their ministry, and support them to develop/implement 3-year ministry plans • Formation for Ministry for Certification
