WHAT ALLOWS US TO MAKE THIS CHANGE?

(b) Teachers who receive and maintain an annual summative performance evaluation designation of proficient or exemplary (or the equivalent annual summative ratings in a preexisting district evaluation plan) during the most recent school year and who are not first or second year teachers shall be evaluated with a minimum of one formal in-class

  • bservation no less frequently than once every three years, and three

informal in-class observations conducted in accordance with Section 2.3(2)(b)(1) and 2.3(2)(b)(2) in each of the other years, and shall complete one review of practice every year. Teachers with proficient or exemplary designations may receive a formal in-class observation if an informal observation or review of practice in a given year results in a concern about the teacher’s practice.
