PLEASE NOTE: As of January 25, 2016, in (105) of the (117) drug overdose deaths investigated by the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office, the cause of death was the result of a combination of multiple drugs found in the decedent’s toxicology, referred to as “Acute Combined Drug Toxicity”. The above chart indicates that the drug listed was contributory in the death, either alone, or in combination with another drug(s). For example, marijuana was present in (14) of the (117) overdose deaths. However, no deaths were the result of marijuana alone, but were due to the combination with other substances across the chart.
