The Private Equity Program serves as the Business School’s primary point of contact with the private equity industry, unifying students, alumni, and the business community into a single network. Industry relationships developed and deepened by the Program enable the Business School and Columbia University to collaborate on private equity related initiatives.

2018 PE Fellows Program Application Process Key Dates
March 22, April 4, April 12, 2017 – Fellows Program Overview Sessions Stage 1:
- April 28 - Resume in PDF format, Essay; responses to essay questions, and
form submission due
- May 1 – Each candidate must have two faculty recommenders, those
recommendations are submitted via a survey link: https://columbia.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3PplZvrwEK4LYyN Stage 2:
- May 4 - Announcement of those selected to move on to LBO models test;
- May 5-10 – LBO Model test will be administered on campus; times to be
arranged and announced with notifications. Stage 3:
- May 12 - Announcement of those to move on to last stage of candidate
- interviews. Interview times will be arranged in person and/or and via Skype
where necessary.
- June 2 – Announcements of Fellows will be announced. Mentors will be
assigned and and orientation webinar will be held in mid-June.

- EMBA students are not required to apply formally, and will
be invited based upon resume and interview
- Application survey will not work for EMBAs. Interviews will
