The Nomination Committee
- Composition – A chairman and 3 members appointed by the Board.
- Qualifications for appointment – Not eligible if the person is a candidate for
election to the Board or is domiciled in a region whose seat is open for renewal during an election.
- Main responsibilities - Find candidates for the election of the directors of
AFRINIC; and have general responsibility for as well to supervise the conduct of the polls by the election Committee on election day.

The Election Committee
- Composition – Such staff members of AFRINIC as may be
designated by the Chief Executive Officer.
- Qualifications for appointment – AFRINIC staff members only
- Main responsibilities - General responsibility for organising all
elections held by AFRINIC.

The Governance Committee
- Composition – Consists of two (2) members appointed by the Board, three
(3) members elected by AFRINIC Membership, (1) Board member (non- voting) appointed by the Board as a liaison, the AFRINIC legal adviser (non-voting) and (1) or more members from the Secretariat (non-voting).
- Elected at the AGMM
- Main responsibilities - It advices the AFRINIC Board, AFRINIC Membership,
& the community, on matters of corporate governance

The Council of Elders
- Composition – Appointed by the Board comprising a maximum of six (6)
former chairpersons of AFRINIC.
- Main responsibilities - It shall have an advisory role, and shall provide
assistance to the chair or the entire board.
