❏ May 1 - June 9 is the fourth quarter grading period. ❏ Courses issue 1 - 2 grades per week. ❏ All grades collected before May 1 will be exempted. ❏ Student efgorts will not negatively afgect their grade. ❏ 4th quarter grades will not offjcially be added in PS UNLESS in a HS credit course. ❏ Parent conferences around performance will be from June 8 - June 10.
Grading period
❏ 1 qualitative feedback form per course per student. This will go to parents and students. It will also transition with the student.
EOY Feedback Form will include information about: ❏ Participation in remote learning teacher support ❏ Assignments completed ❏ Core Classes: Mastery levels for 4th quarter priority standards (Mastering, Progressing, Developing, Unknown)
❏ 1 EC feedback form per student, if applicable. This will go to parents and students. It will also transition with the student.
What will be reported at the end of the year?
Students in grades 6-8 (non-HS credit courses) will receive a Pass “PC19” or Withdrawal “WC19
A WC19 does not indicate a grade retention should occur or that the course must be repeated.
If Then
a student was passing the course when we left school on March 13 The student will receive a PC19 a student was not passing the course on March 13 but has demonstrated engagement since we left The student will receive a PC19 a student was failing the course before March 13 and has not engaged remotely They will receive a WC19
Students in HS credit courses will determine their final course grade with parents, counselors, and GLAs. If the students cannot be reached to make a choice, they will be permitted to do so after school buildings re-open.
*HS credit courses will also offer opportunities to improve grades between May 1 - May 29.
HS Course Grading Options
- 1. Maintain the numeric grade they had on March 13 and receive course credit.
- 2. Use the improved grade from remote learning and receive course credit.
- 3. Accept the general PC19 (pass) course grade and receive course credit.
- 4. Accept the general WC19 (not pass) course grade without course credit.
May 20th : Student medication pick-up. Nurse Dawn will be in the car rider circle from 8:00am - 2:00pm. Parents will not have to leave their cars. May 25th - No School June 1-5: Instruments (8th graders only), Library books, ELA course trade books, ELA classroom novels returned to bus
- lot. M-W-F 8:00 – 10:00; T-Th from 11:00 – 1:00
June 8-10: Team Parent Conferences from 8:00-12:00 & 1:00-3:00 (No Student Check-ins This Week). NOTE: Chromebooks are only being collected from students who are leaving the district. Otherwise, they will be returned when students come back to school.
