So what’s next?

We are currently writing grants and fundraise to create a Hands-on-History Center.

The Center will provide local preschools and childcare providers a place to bring their charges to have fun the old-fashioned way!

Rotating hands-on exhibits, a classroom space and curriculum created and implemented by an early education teacher

 As a part of the project, the

Eaton House will be restored lovingly into a fully-equipped education center for the OSH!

Historic Recreation Trail

In an effort to showcase and better use our magnificent campus, we are raising money to establish a Historic Recreation Trail around our 60 acres of hills, fields and forests

The trail will be multi-use and open to all

Interpretive signs of historic significance will dot the length of the 3/4 –mile trail

The future potential of this project is endless! From installing rotating interpretive landscape art along the trail, to utilizing it as another place-based education tool
