  • Single family homes occupied by Low Income – detached, semis, row housing
  • Community-based organizations contracted to deliver the program
  • Free pre and post home energy audit
  • Measures: attic, wall, and basement insulation, air sealing, draft proofing
  • Heat reflector panels
  • Showerheads, kitchen and bathroom aerators
  • Carbon monoxide detectors

Affordable Housing Program for Multi-Residential Buildings

  • Building assessment
  • Enhanced financial incentives for capital upgrades

and/or replacements

  • Direct install for in-suite measures
  • Energy audit subsidy
  • Resident engagement
  • Building owners and property managers of multi-residential

buildings, generally defined as OBC Part 3

  • Social and assisted housing
  • Non profits and co-ops
  • Shelters and supportive housing
  • Income qualified buildings located at census defined and

municipally informed priority needs neighborhoods

Free Offers to Multi-Residential

  • Low-Flow Showerheads
  • 1.5 GPM (gallons per minute) or less
  • Existing showerheads must be >2.5 GPM

  • Buildings must be heated with Natural Gas
  • Suites must be heated with hydronic units

Affordable Housing New Construction

  • Provides affordable housing builders and developers with

incentives and services to encourage the construction, renovation and rehabilitation of high-performing, energy efficient affordable housing buildings.

  • “Affordable Housing” as defined by government sponsored

programs such as IAH. Building Eligibility:

  • OBC Part 9- Single Family type of dwellings
  • OBC Part 3- Multi-residential buildings
