Eligibility

  • To be a candidate, a person m ust be:
  • 1 8 years of age on or before election day;
  • a Canadian citizen;
  • a resident of the province for at least 4 0

days im m ediately preceding the date of the election; and

  • ordinarily resident in an electoral district on

the date of the election ( but not necessarily the district for w hich one is a candidate) .
